Matrox Triple Head 2 Go or SoftTH users..

thank you for reading..

i need help.

 

for the second time around, i have ditched my triplehead 2 go setup.

i was having problems with lock on modern air combat 1.12b.

 

either the HUD would disaapear, or after 45+ minutes into a multiplayer session, the graphics would freeze and i would have to Alt Ctrl Del to open task manager to stop the program or precess. also i have a problem seeing labels in the single player missions, where labels appear on the left of the middle monitor into the left monitor...but not seen on the right hand side.

i tried re-install, i tried with and with out AA, AF, minimal settings on nvidia control panel...no success

 

i am running Windows Vista SP1 all patched.

Core Duo E8500

8G ram.

Nvidia 8800GTS 512 using 182.08 version drivers.

 

SO, FOR ALL YOU TRIPLEHEAD USERS...(Both Matrox TH2G or SoftTH)

 

WHAT KIND OF SETUP DO YOU HAVE?

if your triplehead setup runs LOCK ON MODERN AIR COMBAT 1.12b with out issues,

I WANT TO KNOW WHAT OS are you running, driver version, GPU, etc...32bit or 64Bit...

 

PLEeezE tell me what you have.

how do you like using triplehead?

 

i think triplehead is cool, but i am annoyed that it is giving me problems, and im starting to think its Vista...

 

I just want to play LockOn online without any problems on triplehead...

I don't have lockon d00d. I s'pose I really should do something about that but for the time being I have no advice for yah. I don't like your chances with urze atm either :(

 

I will say one thing tho dood, I recon you are asking a great deal of that card imo.

You did? Nothing in the box mate. No troubles with lockon as I don't play it. I was just seeing if I could find some help for you but only found threads started by you looking for help.

lockon and th2go are good once setup right.

 

not sure about the missing hud but

i know the issue you describe:

in cockpit view labels appearing on one side only,

but as you pan around with the tracker they appear.

try ditch them all together :)

 

the lockup issue might be heat issue,

working that graphics card pretty hard

to run the th2go, try crank the fan up?

well, the graphics lock up....

but i can still alt ctrl del to get in to task manager so that i can stop the process to cancel the program...

 

i dont think its a heat issue...my experience with lock ups is that the whole computer freezes when gfx is over taxed...

 

what do you think?

 

do you use the SGU to configure the lua, and edit the lua, or you just totally avoid using the matrox sgu th2g config optimizer?

admit to half reading that bit, i'd say you are right there,

i was thinking more of the hard lockup that requires a reboot.

or one of those nv4_disp errors.

 

i have the original analogue th2go and do not use any related software.

no recent pics of my sim but there are some around here.

seem to be in a never ending renovation of my gaming room.

so you play lock on with no problems, and you do NOT use the matrox sgu ..

 

im just basically going to install windows XP 32bit to see what happens..

Hannibal, all the SGU does is modify "older game" config files to work better with it so you don't actually have to have it installed as far as I am aware.

sometimes these setups get really complicated...

 

i wish there was a step by step procedure on how to install games..

 

but i know its kind of difficult with all the configurations

but still a walk through of the basics (i.e. res size, service pack install, game patched, etc)

instead of looking through countless forums and testing over and over (sometimes re-install over and over)

this is caused by enlarging the view angle in BS. I saw the same thing happen with objects and panning. The more you raise the angle, the less you can see of objects in the forward view (then they appear when you look in that direction). One more drawback of the multiple camera setup. I am referring to BS... sorry if I am OT about the LockOn.

i didnt even begin to mess around with TH2G with DCS Black shark..

 

SO your saying this (the label issue) also is in DCS Black Shark?????????????

They work fine in BS, I have them off 99.9% of the time but coincidentally I had them on 2 nights ago due to an IO (idiot operator) error. The defiantly work.

here to report that Softh on triple monitor works very well for me , still tweaking as I got it to run at 4 am last night , but so far it's glorious and framerates are the same as my previous dual monitors (abris and shkval) set up .

 

untested in multi . it's on my todo list for today

im sure triple head is not a problem on Black Shark....its Lock on that is my problem..
