SCAR-M Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 (edited) I would like to see one day part of Spain in DCS World. Although I understand the current limitations to develop such a complex territory. However, there is a part of Spain that could be realized, the Canary Islands. I present the main points to develop this map: These islands offer a variety of theaters, landscapes and very varied confrontations in a scenario that is not excessively large or highly detailed. It would consist of a mainly aquatic and desert map, with details only on the Islands and certain bases on the continent. Resources used in the Mariana Islands and desert maps such as Syria could be used. It allows both naval and land operations without limitations, unlike many maps. Great availability of air bases and airports. Multiple powers facing each other and historical conflicts. On the islands we have Spain, as a member of NATO, and on the continent we have the Saharawis, the Moroccans, the Algerians and the Mauritanians, among others. A wide variety of units have been present in these territories as part of nations from different coalitions. In fact, any DCS unit could fit appropriately. I am sure that many Spaniards would buy it, as well as many others, according to the points mentioned above. So, anyone up for it? Edited October 29, 2023 by SCAR-M 3
Mr_sukebe Posted October 29, 2023 Posted October 29, 2023 I understand the ask. Have to say that I’d vote more for southern Spain, northern Morocco and Algeria. That could include Operation Torch and with a few older aircraft, elements of the Spanish Civil war. We do already have the i16. 2 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
Silver_Dragon Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM Posted Sunday at 07:29 PM I remember sometime ago, Aerges talk about some day build a Canary Islands / Spanish peninsula Map with cover all region, but actualy has none talked about a "map team". And yes, that will cover many eras: WW2: Spanish Civil War and Axis and alied operations of a hypotetical Feliz Operations (Portugal/Gibraltar Invaision) & Operation Pilgrim (Canary Islands Invasion) Cold War: Ifni war / Sand War / Hypotetical PacVar attacs (Ask Normandy Map). Bremspropeller Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago While the conflict on a broader scheme is interesting, it would be another arid and somewhat sandy map. So ein Feuerball, JUNGE!

Canary Island and Spanish peninsula has a complete diferent terrain. Arid means dry and hence a pretty brownish terrain. The Spanish mainland is very dry in summer. The eastern Canarias are very dry throughout the year - the others have a slightly more humid side and a dryer side. So ein Feuerball, JUNGE!
Mike Force Team Posted 44 minutes ago Posted 44 minutes ago The most likely solution is ED creating a global map. I know it was mentioned in the 2025 above and beyond video. Since then, no new updates.
