H60MTI Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I have a target locked up on the TPOD, straight in front of me about 12 miles. For some reason, on the HUD, it's showing the target selection box way off to the left. If I slew the cursor on the HUD to match the target visually, the TPOD is way off. Is there some kind of boresighting step that needs to be done so the HUD and TPOD picture match up? Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
razo+r Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 No boresighting required for the HUD and TPOD.
H60MTI Posted November 7, 2023 Author Posted November 7, 2023 I didn't think so but it's just off, but way off... Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"

SickSidewinder9 Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 You DO need to allign the HMD from a cold start.

SickSidewinder9 Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Which we can't do right now and ED said they have a fix, but they haven't pushed it out.
dorianR666 Posted November 11, 2023 Posted November 11, 2023 make sure your plane is using GPS. INS without GPS is completely broken and results in such weird things. CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X GPU: AMD RX 580
H60MTI Posted November 15, 2023 Author Posted November 15, 2023 I'll try to get a screen shot next time to show... Had full GPS/INS alignment prior to flight. It's not a huge deal, cause I know the TPOD is right, just annoying as crap. Former SSG US Army UH-60A/L/M Crewchief "2 To Fly!"
