markturner1960 Posted December 7, 2023 Posted December 7, 2023 So I just tried this out and was quite pleasantly surprised, using the handtracking on my Quest pro. Button pushes seem easy, toggle switches less so and rotaries even more tricky. I wondered if there were any tips to getting it set up optimally? I played with the sliders to align the VR glove hand with the pilot body glove hand when my hand is on the grip, but this does not match the rest of the cockpit or my simpit. I do have the Winwing MP1 set up so its pretty similar to the real cockpit, at least in the central panel area, but still, it does not match up. Is there a way to do this, or is it only ever going to work exactly if you have an accurately dimensioned blank sim pit replica? Hulkbust44 Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Have you played with the OpenXR hand to controller toolkit for tuning? Don't know if it would help but it may. Sent from my moto g stylus 5G (2022) using Tapatalk
YoYo Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 The problem is that it doesnt work on Cable Link, so its partial functionality. Here you still have to use controllers to operate the options. slughead Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) I use hand tracking with Oculus cable link all the time in DCS. My controllers never get taken out of the charging station. I use Fred Emott's HTCC tool. I don't have the gloves enabled. Edited December 30, 2023 by slughead Slugmouse: a finger-mounted mouse button emulator for hand-tracked VR cockpit clicking. _Grumpy_ Posted January 1, 2024 Posted January 1, 2024 (edited) Hi, does anyone know how to use hand tracking so that the gloves are also enabled? All I want to achieve is seeing the gloves in VR and them following my hands. I do not need any actual cockpit interaction as I have a cockpit that replicates the buttons I need. I am hoping to achieve this with a Quest 3. Edited January 1, 2024 by _Grumpy_

Hi, what is Fred’s HTCC and how might it enhance the basic hand tracking in DCS? Are you saying that you have it working reliably and accurately?
