Pretty much every helo in DCS has an option in special settings to disable pedal trim when hitting the trimmer button, its particularly awful when your pedals recenter.

Just turn it off in the MFD - disable the YAW channel. Removes the nasty surprise pedal stomping the flight computer seems to enjoy so much during standard S&L flight lol.

Ka-50 doesn't have it either.

Anyhow, I rather think that it's especially useful for self centering pedals.

To answer your question though, just set it to "No spring" in the apache special options and it will simply ignore your pedal position when you trim, always taking the raw value. If push pedal and trim and then release, it will go back to center. Of course it's meant to be used for when you removed the springs, but nothing is stopping you from choosing that option. The SCAS heading hold assist thing will still do it's logic, but you can turn that off in the A/C Utility mode by disabling the SCAS yaw channel.

Old post but I eventually figured out how disable pedal trim in the Apache, the KA50 does have that option in special settings, always had, its a check box called PEDAL TRIMMER.
