What is with the lines to targets in Datalink SA page?

I'm trying to figure out how the lines from datalink member to target works
- the manual says it is solid line from team member and dashed from donor

It doesn't work that way now - I can see lines only from members and sometimes it's dashed and can change to solid or the other way..
- so, is it bugged or dashed means locked and solid missile fired?

Dashed should be designation, solid Is STT, flashing would be missile launched last I heard from an SME. Never seen anything but dashed in DCS.

Was reviewing the TXDSG recently. ED and Chucks' manuals have not been updated on this. I watched my AI wing fox 3 some targets. His TXDSG line is initially dotted but goes solid after he says "fox 3" and then it goes back to dotted again before impact. It never flashes. (And you never see any lines from non flight members.)
