There is a GPU-related error
Remove any overclocking from your GPU if you have any.
Uninstall your GPU driver with DDU and install a clean one to see if it helps.

Hi,

 

I recently go got frequent crashes / reboots (sometimes directly after joining a mission, sometimes after 30min with no action around). I tried to increase pagefile, there is no OC or undervolting, different upscaling settings (I use FSR). Switching to MSAA seems to have even worse effects. I deleted the savegames folder to have a clean client, same issue.

Does the log file indicate anything?

My specs are: AMD 5600x, 6800XT, 32 GB RAM + pagefile 65gb on SSD

Your windows version seems to be out dated, try doing a windows update and see if it helps

Windows says it's up to date. But we all know Windows can't be trusted... 

I ran sfc /scannow without returning errors. But the win trouble shooter says there is an "issue" with the updates without being more helpful. 

What gave the log away I have the wrong windows version? Maybe I can try to roll back and force the latest version somehow...

The original version of Windows 11 (also known as version 21H2) was released in October 2021. It carries the build number 10.0.22000.

So you are a few years out of date. It also went out of support in October of last year https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/announcements/windows-11-21h2-end-of-servicing

uh thanks for pointing this out, I was not aware since win had always the status "up to date". I am currently installing the latest version manually. Will give feedback if that helped. Thanks again!

 

edit: updating windows with the official windows 11 install assistant seems to have worked so far.... no crashes in two longer sessions

You still have mods, a script mod under DCS hooks. and you got  "Lua Hook error". 

Just rename your C:\Users\132-51\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder, let DCS make a clean one then test again.

 

@Nimbur I’m getting these same errors too in my logs when crashing. I’m going to try the renaming of the Openbeta folder… Did you find a solution to these errors?

I found the following solution on the drex discord ( ddcs).

I've seen a lot of players recently, especially VR users talk about timed stutters while in VR. I was having these stutters about every 5 seconds when I was watching my FPS counter in DCS World. I shown how to use the System File Checker (SFC) and the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool to help service your Win10/11 image.

 

sfc scannnow

 

1. Right-click Start Menu and open Terminal (Admin)

 

1. 2. At the command prompt type sfc /scannow and press the "enter" key.

I found out that my 13900KS was hitting 100 C on load. Upon reading online a lot of people had to undervolt their stock voltage in the BIOS to lower temperatures. After doing so, no more crashes in flat screen gaming. I will check VR. Weird enough, just DCS, other games didn’t mind.
