SharpeXB Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Now that the FCR is here it would be cool to have training missions for that. I don’t know if the Apache is just different or whatever but I found its training missions to be really challenging. Pretty much you need to read the manual first or you’re lost. An example would be the Gun Training. Of course the first thing you’ll want to do. But you have to know how the TSD works and how George works too in order to even do that one. If I was making those missions I would break them down a lot differently. 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
upyr1 Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 I'd love to have a training campaign using an AI instructor You would start with some airmanship missions, start-up, taxing, take-off, and navigation missions. followed by weapons training, possibly aerobatics, and combat missions. The AI instructor will give you hints if requested. You would get graded based on how closely you perform the syllabus the only sure way to fail a mission is to die. 1

It does show that this is possible to have evaluations of performance etc done by the game. I’m curious if they ever plan to have more of these although they’d probably require the aircraft to be complete out of EA which many modules aren’t. It’s not beginner friendly though Edited January 5, 2024 by SharpeXB 1 i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
FlankerKiller Posted January 9, 2024 Posted January 9, 2024 The C-101EB basically has a check ride simulated in one of its training missions. As stated above it shows that training and evaluation is possible. 3
II.JG1_Vonrd Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 Many modules have gaps in the Training Mission menu. For example, there is nothing specifically for radar operation in the F-16. The AMRAAM tutorial states "I assume that you are familiar with the operation of the radar.. see pages ... thru ... in the manual". 1
