F1 Mirage modules at Ramat David

Recommended Posts

Hi there. I've discovered something weird with the F1 variants been spawned at Ramat David specifically.

When I spawn into either three at Ramat David my fps becomes a slide show where on avg doesn't matter which map or module i'm on i'm getting very smooth frame rates. Also switching to external view the frames are a slide show. If I spawn with the either 3 F1 modules at say Beirut my frames are back to normal fluid smooth as butter. Other aircraft do not suffer from this slide show effect at Ramat David only the F1 Mirages. I've attached my log , dxdiag and the mission used to test this. Please note I actually discovered this issue through the quick start mission for F1EE cold start on Syria but then created a blank mission and discovered it occurring again. Not sure if anyone else has had this or if its just me.

  • Please note that this is a fresh Windows 10 install with a fresh DCS World install running version 2.9.2.49940, No mods used.
  • Did slow repair on install and found nothing wrong.
  • NVIDIA drivers are on the latest version.
  • I've checked with HWinfo for any overheating or anomalies with hardware and all looks happy.

I've tried and did not get a slide show. But it seems the F1 cockpit eats a lot of resources (and I say this after I've compared it to the F-14!).

DCS sees a small 4 GB pagefile. You should make it bigger.

Use this guide and these values:

  • initial size: 32768 (32 GB)
  • max size: 32768 (32 GB)

Don't accept indie game testing requests from friends in Discord. Ever.

The tell-tale difference is in the frametime, I still have this issue BTW, altho i haven't checked it the last 3-ish patches, will report back when I check on it now.

Still happens in any Mirage F1 mission on Syria map. I have loaded into an F-14B, M F1CE, then Strike Eagle, made screenshots of it, including log file too. Note what happens when I hit Esc to bring up the UI in the 3rd screen.
