Hi all,

just curious, has anyone tried printing a full cockpit panel before? I’ve been contemplating if it’s possible to print the main front panel of an f-16.

i know a panel sent for for most printers, soo I was curious if someone managed to split something like that into several smaller parts

Soo far, I’ve been designing my own stuff for printing from scratch.
this is my design thus far  it’s quite Modular soo I can replace certain things as I evolve my simpit

no, it's PLA.   🙂

A few metal parts, screws, switches, heres the latest version of my model.  I am going to tweak it a bit for better clearance of the switch.  It does not match the real thing, as the guard does not cover the canopy switch, that would require a bit of reworking, which I am going to do at a later date, I need to move the switch back into the block so it does not stick out and make it more like in the jet with the switch guards, but no hurry, it works fine for sim.

I wasn't clear enough. They seemed metallic PLA or metallic PETG. As in effect. Now I was wondering if anyone compared the two. In my experience PETG always looks like a shampoo bottle 😉

I had some time to kill so I was able to get through modeling the complete right sided panel.  I have several panels printed so far.  The box will take hours. LOL.
