tekking98 Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Hello everyone! I am writing this message with the intention that if someone from ED reads it, maybe they can convey my message to the development teams. I don't know if it happens to you, but in some modules the default cockpit view is uncomfortable for me, so when that happens what I do is through some keys that I have assigned, I change the zoom, height or FOV. There really is no problem up to this point, but it turns out that it has to be done on every flight and it is also difficult to always get the camera to your liking. I have seen some ways to change views by changing some parameters of the module files, but the truth is that I have never been able to get it to work. My proposal would be that they add a simple camera editor, with the views being saved independently in each module. This way it would be great to jump between modules and always have the camera to your liking, instantly. Many motorsport simulators have this feature and it is absolutely great. For example, if anyone wants to see it, Assetto Corsa Competizione has this system implemented and it works really well. I'm really not sure how difficult it would be to introduce something like this, and I know that Eagle Dynamics is working hard on this simulator (with better than good results!), but it would be great if they could consider it. Thank you for reading this far, and enjoy your virtual (or non-virtual) flights! 1
HC_Official Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 DCS has snap views built in (with ability to save them) No more pre-orders Click here for tutorials for using Virpil Hardware and Software Click here for Virpil Flight equipment dimensions and pictures. .

You have to enable the save snapviews in the options. You can then save the views for every module (and every seat) for good. HOWEVER. Currently the system is broken. Search for threads with the keyword "Snapviews". For example here, but there are many more: Edited January 17, 2024 by Hiob 1 "Muß ich denn jedes Mal, wenn ich sauge oder saugblase den Schlauchstecker in die Schlauchnut schieben?"

SharpeXB Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 I think you just need to delete the previous Saved Games/ Snapview.lua and replace it by creating a snap view in the game. After doing that everything seems to work fine for me. I think there was a change to the settings which broke the old .lua. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
