Moses Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Ok I know this is probably a stupid question, but the second download the Data1.cab file, where does that go with in the program folder for DCS? Not sure if I put it into the right place or not. this is where i have for now C: Programs/Eagle Dynamics/Ka-50 , is this the correct location for this .cab file?:helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie: Thanks for all the help
Nate--IRL-- Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Put it in the same folder as the Setup.exe when you install, it dosen't go in to the installed DCS folder at all. It is not needed post-install Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
joey45 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 it says when you download both files. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. luckybob9 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 To make life easier, I just made a new folder on my desktop and just put the two files in there. Then a simple launch of the setup file and your good to go! Yskonyn Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 This might be unneccessary, but; setup.exe and data1.cab are in fact the two files that need to be together in the same folder. these two files are the install package of DCS and can both be deleted after install. nemises Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 (not that you should delete them, because it is handy to have them incase you want to re-install some day without having to re-download)
EtherealN Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Aye, I still have them sitting on my desktop, with another copy on my backup HDD and yet another on the laptop. If things go to hell there's no joy if you first have to sit and wait for a download. Yskonyn Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 That's why I burned them on a DVD. :) But installation goes much quicker from the harddisk; e.g. my comment about deleting them afterwards. ;) Just to point out that the files are not used by DCS BS when its installed.
