Hello gents

is there a way to have more radio menu shortcuts a la A/A refueling - "Ready for precontact" radio call

@LeCuvier ?

This one above is really helpful to avoid having to mess with the radio menu options close to the tanker. Alternatively, is there a way to declare more custom ones line the one above for instance:
A/A refueling - "Intent to rejoin" radio call
Ground crew - "Place chocks" radio call
Ground crew - "Remove chocks" radio call
(the last two not being so critical since we're on the ground and could navigate the menu - but IMHO at least the request join up with tanker would be useful.

Many thanks as always

I have Voice Attack installed and use it with WWII wingmen, and I would use it if I did air refueling. I see no way to achieve what you want without using 3rd party software.
There is no way to get there with LUA editing.

You could probably use something like Joystick Gremlin to set up a chain of button/key presses ( e.g. "/ + F11 + F11 + F6 + F1 + F1 + F1" open comms menu, go back to main layer, open tanker comms, "intent to refuel") and then bind it to a single button. Way from perfect, but maybe an option.
Would really depend on how many tankers are in the air, which is both where VAICOM shines and is a limitation.

Yes, in the example of tankers it might be a bit more difficult indeed - albeit the closest tanker (and airport) is always on F1 i think(?). So it would be managable albeit not the most convenient solution. Most other things like ground crew should work fine though. As op said Voice Attack/VAICOM is no option, this might be.
Yeah, I know he wrote so. And I guess you're correct about F1 defaults to the nearest, while it should default to the tuned one. That would be a lot easier, as easy comms will be removed.
