XP or Vista?

You might be struggling there with those specs.

With only 1GB on Vista, I would not expect the game to be playable. 1.4 Ghz dual core isn't helping much either. And with those specs, we can infer that the GPU will be very low end as well. Therefore, it's unfortunate, but I don't think you'll be able to run the game.

The problem with Vista and only 1GB RAM is that it leaves little memory for games because Vista is eating up a lot of that 1GB already.

Secondly, DCS is a very CPU dependent game and your 1.4Ghz Dual Core is on the thin side for it.

Even if your laptop has a decent video card I think you're going to struggle with performance if it would run at all. Sorry man.

As good an incentive as any to get a new computer. :)

Anything with 2 gigs or more of ram, a stand alone vid card, and atleast a 2.0 GHz CPU.

AT THE VERY LEAST

But remember, Laptops arent really meant for gaming, if you want to see how pretty the game is, build yourself a desktop for a $800-1000 US and youll be able to crank the sliders up

I agree with shabo..your best option is to get a desktop. You've already got a labtop for portable computing and you get much better bang for the buck in terms of computing power with a desktop.

Definitely, better get yourself desktop over any laptop for gaming (at least for good flight sim like DCS)

Wow Shabo, that's actually a pretty nice deal right there!

Myself I never trust finished packages (too big risks of them saving money on cheap RAM and so on), but those that don't want to spend the time researching and then assembling every single component, and want a cheap BS-capable system, could definitely look into that one.

(Just remember to not feed that Radeon card anything newer than 8.12... :P )

I agree I wouldnt buy it, Id rather part it all out with what I want as apposed to the "ceaper" stuff that most of these pre-buiilts like this are, but this isnt a bad deal for those interested...... not me though:thumbup:
