Are there FOV settings on the server side?

One of my squad mates asked me this the other day.  "Do you have a FOV limit lock on your server? I was on there today and it puts my pilot head forward ie smaller FOV than I normally fly with."

He says it happens every time he connects, no matter the mission. Thanks in advance.

As far I sa know, no. It's not possible to set or put range limit to FOV from server side.
There are some "hidden" option that is transferred to .miz file from client settings, but I don't believe is that the case of FOV.

Try to load on your server a generic mission from users files or a mission prepared by someone else to check the behavior.

the fact, that the configuration file where you can set a max and min fov is called "server.lua" is suggestive though.....😅
