cannot reproduce Sight Range Dial Doesn't Move

When not caged, my understanding is that the dial should move to reflect the range to a target based on radar returns. I've messed around with this for an hour and have yet to see the dial move off of 1800'. When I cage it, it goes right to 600', but right back to 1800' when uncaged again, regardless of how far away the target is.

I'm stuck in a similar situation and I can't for the life of me figure out what, if anything, that I'm doing wrong.

Not sure if either of you is still struggling, and maybe I am misunderstanding the issue, but if you twist the throttle to manually adjust, it will not move with the radar, if you twist all the way to the left it will go back to radar ranging and move as expected.
