7900XTX prices

I keep seeing on the Amazon US store some 7900XTX graphics cards for sale at much reduced prices. For example $580 for a Sapphire 7900XTX. That's a big reduction on the approx. $1,000 mark that you usually see them for. The lowest I can usually find is $926 for an XFX Speedster.

The only issue is they are not sold or shipped from Amazon, like the other more regularly priced cards, they have Chinese store names. The cards will disappear from sale for a few days and then reappear under a different Chinese store name. This seems a bit dubious to me, so I'm wondering, has anyone actually bought one of these cards without any issue? They look amazingly good value comparably, if legit. My feeling is, if something looks too good to be true, it usually is.

Avoid them, most of the reseller stores on amazon are selling fake cards, it's likely a 6700 with a bios flash to make it say 7900XTX in windows.

Basically, if it's not "fulfilled by Amazon", I don't buy it. And Amazon has given me amazingly good customer service, so that's why I only buy what they stock.  

 

I've made hundreds of Amazon purchases over the years and only once did I order something from a third party; a PC part coming from a big in-country store with a good rep.
