skypickle Posted April 6, 2024 Posted April 6, 2024 (edited) When a hat is assigned to trim nose down in the SA342 pilot controls, a red question mark appears (see attached). There are no other buttons assigned to this function. Even when the button is deleted, a red question mark remains next to the label 'trim nose down'. How do I resolve this? kotor633 Posted April 7, 2024 Posted April 7, 2024 Hi, I checked this myself today & had exactly the same problem as you. I also wanted to put a screenshot of my view in your post. I noticed that when I created the screenshot, DCS had saved the image file in my installation directory .\DCS World_openbeta\bin-mt. I also noticed that I couldn't open the DCS_updater.exe in the bin directory via the CMD: "File was not found". So I couldn't call up a repair function either. I strongly suspect that it has something to do with the change in February. Since there is no longer an open beta. So what did I do?-> I downloaded the current DCS_World_web.exe and freshly installed DCS. Problems have been eliminated. ************************************** DCS World needs the Panavia Tornado! KoN Posted April 8, 2024 Posted April 8, 2024 I have this also , this is what's happening, Auto start , trim rudder and pitch for take off , increase throttle, slow, as it's very twitchy too twitchy, your tip over , rise into the air , push forward on pitch and nothing happens, my joystick was at full defect then all of a sudden it kicks in and you go straight into the ground . Very odd . This time I use trim forward to gain forward speed nothing happens on trim up . I checked key binde and have red mark . So trim don't work . It still happensSettings are stored under Saved Games, and will not be altered or touched when performing repairs. Rename the DCS folder under Saved Games to DCS.old, and try again. You wrote you were on OpenBeta? Did you by chance ever convert Stable to OpenBeta in the past? Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
TokenJester Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 (edited) I've been Open Beta the whole time until the merge and am experiencing the exact same issue, all assignable except Trim Nose Down. grusche Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 I have a similar error for "trim nose down", which displays an exclamation mark even if no button is assigned. When I try to assign any button on the keyboard or joystick, it will not work. I tried to delete the control input files of the Gazelle and start from the scratch. This will work for one Gaming session. but after restarting DCS, this error will be shown again and the trim is not working anymore.
