I remember being able to use aircraft jump to control wingmen and then return to my own aircraft in the past. This no longer works because now your original plane flies off to the nearest airbase when jumped out of.

This is very problematic as it restricts jumping to a situation where your aircraft is destroyed unless you can jump back before the AI manages to get shot down or land.

Example in the attached track, player aircraft is set to fly straight and then orbit in N-S orientation, but when I jump it goes RTB.

If it will take time to investigate this in full, could I get an answer on the intent of how jumping should work? Is the loss of route an intended change or a bug? I don't see the benefit of the former but I'd at least like to know if this was done intentionally.

Thanks

Just wanted to bump this again as it has been a long standing issue and I've never been able to get clarification on if it's intended or if it's a bug. Either way reverting to the old system where the plane jumped from followed its route would be useful in a lot of situations, especially when wingmen don't quite do their jobs.

Hey sorry seeing this now, so you want the AI to fly the planned route from the ME if you jump to another plane, I thought it did as well, if you have a test mission or tracks I will take a look I can also check it out myself.

Thanks for looking at this problem. There is a track in the first post.

EDIT

Recorded a new track
