buceador Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 I posted this 'observation' last August but received no real response, I am aware that the moderators are undoubtedly swamped with 'queries' of all kinds and 'triage' has to come into play but the current sequence adds a unnecessary and redundant step. Load DCS Click on MISSION EDITOR Select and load a mission one of your missions from the list, edit, change or simply check it. Exit MISSION EDITOR (because your want to check your log book or any other reason) Click on MISSION EDITOR again to load another mission and BOOM - it loads an empty mission based on the last map used? Why?? Why not present you with the missions list as before?? 1
Flappie Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 Simple test run on my PC: Launch the ME once, then load the Caucasus map: it takes 13 seconds. Close the ME. Open the ME, and the Caucasus map will be loaded automatically : less than 2 seconds. It's done to save you some time, except when you have decided to switch to another terrain, which is not supposed to happen very often. 1 ---

Actually for me, switching to a different terrain mission is probably the norm, I still think presenting you with the mission list as in the initial behaviour is more logical. 1
