Helicopters disappear when you get close, usually when you are about to strafe them, and when you are way too close, they repair. Happened multiple times.

This was in Syria-> Contention server.

AH-64 both cases, don't know if it is related. It's a dot, then the dot disappears, then it appears as an attenuated billboard but at 90° or a different kind of dot, way to attenuate. (we are talking pixels here), and finally it appears as a 3d model.

This has been going on for years , this is DCS , as people say in chat welcome to DCS , this happens when the dot transforms in to a 3D Object, it disappears for a few seconds . 

The community is waiting for a fix . And a new spotting system.

As it's well over due.

Oh gosh, I'd pay for a model scaling, or some stabilized smooth VR zoom, or ANYTHING that allows me to see the enemy.

 

Nothing more infuriating than reading BFM tutorials telling you how to keep tally, react to enemy aspect, how to estimate his AOA based on vapor trails....

In an offset 2 circle, I CAN'T SEE THE GODDAMN AIRPLANE !!!

What the bandit is doing is a complete mystery, since his airplane just isn't there!

All i can see is a red or blue label chevron, and next to it, THERE'S NOTHING THERE!
