"Nav error" on ABRIS on Kola map?

I fired up the Ka-50 to check out Kola and for the life of me can't get ABRIS navigation to work. the INU never aligns and I'm stuck with a nav error warning. Anyone else experience this? It's been a hot minute since I've flown the shark though, so I could've missed something.
Cheers.

Maybe you made the same mistake as me recently: Check the date.
Not sure if the Kola map has a default date where there are no satellites around...
But yeah, I set my mission in the 1950s and couldn´t figure out why I always get that Nav Error...

Good thought, but nope I'm using a date in 2020.

Check if the KA50 is set on a coalition that has Russia in it. If no, then GLONASS does not exists hence the nav error

THANKYOU! That was it. I had it as USSR, just because of the coalition I'd set in the level. Had no idea the country mattered.

The INU should not be able to align at high latitude. The greater the latitude, the longer it should take to align the gyrocompass. However, if the latitude is too high (above 60° or similar), it is practically impossible to align the gyrocompass. This mainly applies to mechanical gyrocompasses, which were much less accurate than modern optical ones.

However, I also think that this is not simulated in DCS.
