I sure hope they don’t wait until all the broken crayons are cleaned up before they let us play with our new toy, it will take weeks to clean up the tear soaked crayon bits in this forum 🤣

This thread is hilarious. It's mostly grown men ranting that they have to wait 24 hours to play with a new toy. Could maybe understand it if they were 10 years old and Christmas was cancelled! And as for the ones complaining they took a day off work so they could play, talk about first world problems!

ED made the best decision they could under the circumstances. Imagine the whine if the patch was released with some major issues.

You should perhaps not only understand the company, but also understand the customers' annoyance.

Exactly grown man. Theyx have to go to work. So they don't wait 24h. You have to wait until the next free time. Because there is still a job and a family. So this can sometimes take longer. So 24h become one or two weeks.

What did your boss do if you don't hold a deadline?

How old are you?

There's another flight sim out there that sure you're all aware of that inuse to play until the incident I'm about to mention. They releases a compulsory patch with a fault that made the game unplayable for VR users. They knew about it, even mentioned in it the notes, but released it anyway hitting their deadline target. It left a very sour taste for VR users, almost a how dare you release something in this state. I haven't played it since.

In glad ED haven't gone down this route. It's great to hit deadlines but better to release something fault free. I don't know what the issue is that's caused this delay but even if they announce today they need even more time I'd be happy to wait so they can fix it.

To be honest, I am a pissed off with being called childish, whining, and worse by people on here who should know better, simply because I have expressed, quite articulately and reasonably, my annoyance at what has happened……..all you guys saying “ it’s fine, no problem, I can wait, this is perfectly normal in the world of software “ - I am glad it does not bother you, but it sure bothers a <profanity>load of other people, whose opinion and viewpoint are just as valid as yours.

There are some people here who would be defending ED even if they had some kind of malfunction whereby the licence system to use your modules broke…… crazy…….. this is bad customer service, pure and simple and as customers we have a right to bring it up without being patronised by by company fanbois…..

well i would agree with you, if it was a free gift to a community, but since we paid money for this, it's not a new toy. It's now a customer - seller relations, and for me it's like a flight delay not a xmas toy. and that's why people re angry.cause they had a schedule or other plans.

Yes, it is a new toy and yes, you paid for it but sometimes sh$t just happens. Sit down read the manual and have some patience. I'm sure waiting 24hrs won't kill you!

It's customers who complained the product (wich was supposed to be there in 2022, just saying), and then later got confirmed for 21. May just got delayed a couple hours before release. If they just stated from the beginning it's 22nd may no one ever will have complained.

And for the first world problems, you're right, but just because there are other people doesn't mean we have to feel bad about feeling bad. This is a child's argument.

Yes, you are both absolutely right. And for some it's not a 24 hour wait. Because then other things in life come into play.

It's still only about playing a game, not anything like a flight delay. If you make plans around playing a game then that is your prerogative, but you can't convince me it's an actual serious issue.

It is not waiting 24h. For some of us it will be longer. Cause we have a Job and family.

The thing is, it’s not “just a game” for a great deal of people here……it is an all consuming hobby and obsession that we pour a huge amount of time and money into, not some Xbox 360 title we just pick up idly to while away an hour or two…..plenty on here make their living from it even…….so stop with the childish analogies…….
