BGT (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diehl_Defence) in Germany has developed a conversion kit for upgrading AIM-9J/N/P guidance and control assemblies to the AIM-9L standard, and this is being marketed as AIM-9JULI. The core of this upgrade is the fitting of the DSQ-29 seeker unit of the AIM-9L, replacing the original J/N/P seeker to give improved capabilities. Apparently only sold to Spain.

OK so its AIM-9L all aspect IR. Like one that was used by RNFAA in Falklands. A small step below AIM-9M, but still all aspect with low smoke motor.

In F-5E AIM-9L/P have a seeker reticle. Where is such reticle in F1 ? When AA modes are entered into.

Cannot be compared with the F-5E. There is no seeker reticle in F1. Here you use the HUD as a reference. Take a look at Chuck's guide, Chapter 2.1.2 - AIM-9JULY Sidewinder IR Missile (No Radar) paragraphs 12 & 13. In addition, the F-5E does not have an Aim-9L as standard. Unless you add this manually in a specific lua file.

Actually rather the L model seeker but still the old motor. Also, sidenote, some of the British Harriers over the Falklands carried actual AIM-9L missiles, some of which were re-routed from USAFE on short notice.
