@tripod3 Hello, I noticed that the Tu-126 has the left wing aileron constantly lowered. The right aileron is in the neutral position. Thanks for your hard work.

I'll release them in a little bit.  I'm no expert on 1960s/70s Egyptian Air Force markings and the which flag is which for which time frame.  I am aware now, but I just want to make sure everything else is "accurate" enough.  If it's not accurate enough for your liking... then you can change it.

tripod,

I know it is in the files somewhere (for that matter it is probably somewhere in this topic) but I cannot find the name for the B-47 livery folder.   I have tried B_47 and B-47 and B47 but a folder with these names in the saved games or the mod folder do not lead to recognition.   The only way I can get new textures is replacing the existing ones in use in the texture.zip in the mod folder.

Looked at the B-47.lua and the entry lua but can't find the name or one that works.  Also did not see any reference when I downloaded the description folder via model viewer.

If someone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

I also noticed several versions of exterior liveries for the B-47 in the texture.zip file.  Some with just country markings, some with USAF markings, and various combinations there of in jpg, bmp, png, and .dds.   Even saw a .pdn (paint net?) file.  Only a generic texture is being used by the mod.   Just wondering why such a selection as I am only able to get a generic default with stars and ac number.

Really good mod with a variety of aircraft which enhances the game.

Hi,

Only one texture (default) for B-47 is currently available. Lots of files (even bmp and pdn) are my working ones and I didn't delete them from release archive, but should do.

seabat, I used B_47 and it worked fine for me.

Cold War Assets mod\Liveries\B_47\"Example Livery Folder"

I converted some of the textures from jpg to dds and increased their resolution to 8192, instead of using the blank white ones.

Appreciate the info that it does work.  I tried both the saved games livery folder and the mod livery folder but no joy.

Now I am wondering if I missed a comma or have a colon versus a semi-colon in my description lua or some other goofy thing like that.

Wish the computer would type what I am thinking and not what I input!   (On second thought that might be dangerous)

Wooow,

Do you planned to add TU-142s, An-22s for east side and B-36s and Early B-52C/DF and B-57s from western part?

The mod is completely finished and will not be developed. Once I have enough user feedback on bugs and improvements, I may publish an improved version. But it seems that the mod will be abandoned. And other aircraft will be published as separate units. B-52 early - probably yes.

hello tripod3! took a look at the forum. nice that you've reached the finale. Error B-47: Material specification Material.004 for B47_fuz.dds
" {"Material.004",DIFFUSE,"B47_fuz", false}; "
Material specification rascalarm Material.004
" {"Material.004",DIFFUSE,"tu22_fuz_parts2", false}; " .
this means that the texture tu22_fuz_parts2.dds is not loaded.
"I've corrected everything" you wrote somewhere above.
you simply assigned the texture areas for the flaps of the landing gear bays of the B-47 somewhere. those on the fuselage on the entire area of the fuselage sides, top, bottom, left and right. your UVs then also resemble those of a pattern for clothing. that is something a modeler should generally avoid. area to be placed on an already existing assigned area. The same applies to the undercarriages under the turbines. Over 1000 B-47s were manufactured. You should be able to create lots of liveries. But if areas on the textures are affected that need to be used for certain details, then it is simply not possible.

Hello Urbi, you did a fantastic job with skins and paints and tactical numbers for the Tu´s and Yak.. Could you please provide it for the community or include it in the Mod? Also for the Su-15 and Su-7 Mod that are around. . .

Honestly speaking, B-47 model is crappy and old. I just needed carrier for RASCAL missile.

Have intetnion to obtain more modern model with correct UV. Hope it will be nice and correct.

Hello tripod3! You are the 3D expert. The model itself is fine. Everything is cleanly outlined. There are no sharp transitions. Completely sufficient for an AI the size of the aircraft. The canopy frame is not very original and too narrow. But that is your job to fix it. Cdpcobra has released the MAM_EC121 as WIP. Look at the animations and the positioning of the props there. This makes it possible to create the blade effect without having to position the rotor blades on the model. These are automatically placed in their places with the blade adjustment. Change the identified defects and it will be a good mod. Look at my liveries. You can always get more out of a livery for the model.

Looks fantastic. LUT is also amazing.

But there was no cockpit in this model. I used parts of il-2(!) and Tu-22 cockpits.

Anyway I've done the SU-15/SU-15TM liveries with individual numbers like 13 numbers each for blue, red and yellow numbers and reskinned the MAM pilot in soviet/russian different suits

hi
may I add an improvement for the wonderful Yak-28 interceptor.

the default loadout and the positions of the pylons are wrong. the series aircraft had no pylons inside of the engine nacelles, but two pylons on each of the outward wings. the outermost pylons were only cleared fo small missiles like the R-3 / Atoll, whereas the main pylons carried the heavier R-8 / R-98. I changed the lua-file accordingly (but lost the inner pylons somehow, beware ;-).

\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft\coldwar\Yak_28.lua   <=== folders according to specific install / remember: always backup old file

the new section reads like this

I need rigger-man (blenderman enthusiast) who will prepare models for game use (make numerous simple animations and assign arguments to them), if anyone interested please PM

tedious and painstaking work
