V0tm1x Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 How long until the free trial period for the CH-47F helicopter is available?
JetCat Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 The sooner, the better! Not only is this photorealistic helicopter absolute awesome but I am also curious how DCS handles missions not based on shooting but doing other things with planes and helis like cargo. Can big cargo boxes, freight containers, and secret lab capsules be hooked and lifted slowly and transported outside the heli (hanging under the heli on a hook)? Can interesting things be loaded with the rearm menu and will there be high quality models of Jeeps and other things behind the cockpit door in the freight room? So many new and interesting things (I know this partially from Flight Simulator, there are a few freighters like the Airbus A300, but DCS is graphics-wise so next level it will be so much more immersive and awesome doing cargo ops here.) 1
V0tm1x Posted May 30, 2024 Author Posted May 30, 2024 I also definitely want to try this amazing helicopter. I hope that DCS World will be able to transfer the full potential of the transportation capabilities of this machine. 1
LuseKofte Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 There will not be a trial in release period. Maybe next year
rge75 Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I'm surprised that quite many (new) modules don't have a trial. I can understand it for Early Access, but for releases (like e.g. Kiowa, Sinai map), I don't understand the missing trial period, especially since the website says "Try out each and everyone of our products for 14 days per product during a six month period. You can play each module sequentially or any number of them at a time. The choice is yours!". It's simply not true... 1 My DCS videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJX2av4UE4xqWto3y8EZWMw [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

LuseKofte Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 Kiowa has taken years with brakes to develop. You need to fly it for many hours before you can see it took a lot of hours work and decisions to make it. If I flown it for just a couple of hours I would believe it was just another ordinary module. I can see they want money fast for it. That much work and not payed before sold. I never would have guessed I would be obsessed by it. I was experiencing a fatigue and had no motivation for flying. This chopper was a desperate attempt to get something new. It revitalised my hobby so to speak. 2
