VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 It should be the "trigger" but I can't find the key map. TIA. 1 I Fly, Therefore I Am. One cannot go around not saying "Thank you" every time these days, can't you? YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc9BDi-STaqgWsjNiHbW0fA
VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 Update: I think it is automatically mapped to the trigger and there is no way to change it. I Fly, Therefore I Am. VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 Thanks but I am not using VOIP... Anyway, I checked that when I squeese the BTN6 on my TM F-18 HOTAS, the "ICP Radio Button" also clicks, no mapping has been done... I Fly, Therefore I Am. some1 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Use the standard comms menu shortcut (default '/' key). Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil WarBRD, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro
RealDCSpilot Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 (edited) Sadly certain fundamental bindings are wrong and missing. It's even wrong in the manual. The trigger on the cyclic with two detents should be for radio (ICS and chosen radio). There is currently no other way than using the global communications menu. To fire the weapons we actually need an extra button (the thumb button on the real cyclic) and also a binding for the button cover. The 2nd detent on the trigger should not be for weapon release. Another problem is the IZLID laser button. If you want to use it, it will only work after you clicked with your mouse on the real button on the collective. Otherwise your bound button won't work. Check the page from the real manual... That was driving me nuts yesterday as tried nearly every button on my cyclic and collective to get it to work….thanks for the heads up but surely it needs to be fixed
RealDCSpilot Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 @Kinkkujuustovoileipä To prevent misunderstandings, can you please give us bindings for: Trigger 1st detent (ICS not only VOIP) Trigger 2nd detent (Radio not only VOIP) Weapon Release 1st detent Weapon Release 2nd detent 2 i9 13900K @5.5GHz, Z790 Gigabyte Aorus Master, RTX4090 Waterforce, 64 GB DDR5 @5600, PSVR2, Pico 4 Ultra, HOTAS & Rudder: all Virpil with Rhino FFB base made by VPforce, DCS: all modules
some1 Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 The picture in Polychop manual has the items 1-5 repeated twice, that breaks the numbering scheme. You already have both weapon buttons detent mappings, they are called "Fire Weapon [1st/2nd Detent]". Button cover is purely mechanical, you don't even need to flip it open to fire a weapon in real life, according to Casmo. "Communication Menu" binding serves as trigger 2nd detent. RealDCSpilot Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 (edited) @some1 As far as i remember, the global communication menu won't work if the server has easy comm disabled. You need to have dedicated PTT buttons to bind in a DCS module. Both current PTT binds work only for VOIP radios.
