Spooky32 Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) The Flight Instrument Brightness Knob does not seem to be functioning correctly. It is a rotary dial, but it behaves like an on/off switch, with no adjustment in between. It also seems to operate in reverse (turning counter clockwise makes them bright, turning clockwise in the direction of the BRT arrow makes them dim) Picture shows the dial I am referring to: Edited June 6, 2024 by Spooky32
ricktoberfest Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 I think of it like the rotary switch for a ceiling fan or dimmable lights. The first part of the turn (often clicks) is to turn it on, the remainder of the dial is to vary the voltage for lighting or whatever it’s attached to 1
Zabuzard Posted June 7, 2024 Posted June 7, 2024 The confusion primarily is rooted in the knob currently only doing is secondary function and not its primary (as explained in our manual).Once the primary function is there, it will look less confusing. As others said, the dimming logic of the mode/indicator/warning lamps is correctly linked reversed to the knob. One of the kinda weird things in this plane that pilots also found a bit annoying sometimes. 1 3
