What am I doing wrong?

I have installed both (SimHaptic and DCSRealistic) but I am not able to get it connected with my DCS.
I have to start the app manually and in any case it just tells me: "waiting". I had to copy the .lua manually into the savedgames/... scripts folde but still nothing happens. It is getting connected to the buttkicker since "test" works flawlessly. Any advice? No response from rk so far.

Cheers

RkApps launched DCRealistic this AM. I haven’t tried it yet and hoping they post a demo video soon vs this walkthrough. It would be helpful seeing these effects in action but they do offer the free 7-day test drive for this as well.

The video says DCRealistic is different from their Simhaptic software as it’s more of a visual effects enhancer. The walkthrough says it integrates and enhances the Simhaptic effects for an even better experience and it works in VR. Certainly worth a look. If anyone has tried it, please share your thoughts.

I was fortunate to test this before launch.  I really like the added immersion. Like anything it will need to be adjusted to your tastes but the developer is extremely helpful and engaged in improving the experience.  I have been trying to get them registered on this forum so they can provide support and get feedback but the forum registration system is seriously broken and nobody from ED has responded to requests to fix it. Nobody can get the confirmation email needed to join the forum.

Thanks for sharing. Based on my experience with their Simhaptic program, I was hoping to hear positive feedback. Given your comments, I’ll certainly give it a shot.

Istalled and have been using for about a week. Luv it. Dont think will go back to Simshaker.  Andre will always have a place in my heart, Buttkickers and his software revolutionized simming for me!  But Simhaptic really rocks. Now if only some RL jet jobs drivers would helps us tweak all the effects, that would be incredible!! One can dream. Maybe the files our already outhere, I have not searched yet

I certainly know this. But as I described, it refuses to connect with DCS.

Thanks for the info regarding getting in touch with them via the homepage. I'll give it a shot.

Heads up @ all!

Awesome support from rkApps!!! I gave them a shout and I was helped immediately! 👍

It turned out that a relic in my export.lua
from another deleted app (Volanta) screwed up some other exports.
Now THAT is what I call successful support! SH works like a charm now.

Cheers

Hi,
maybe someone can help me solve my problem:
I fly DCS. When I launch F 18 or F 14 from the carrier, the catapult launch is not passed on to my buttkicker.
Normally there should be a lot of rattling when the airplane is accelerated by the catapult!
Unfortunately, everything remains silent. This means that DCS does not pass on the "Catapult" action to Simhaptic. All other actions are passed on to Simhaptic.
In the past I have used Simshaker for Aviators. It didn't work there either. I was hoping that it would work with Simhaptic...unfortunately not.

I have not changed anything in any config files.
Now I don't know what to do.

Can anyone help me? What could be the problem?

Many thanks in advance!
Martin

Installed it today and yes, DCRealistic is a nice upgrade! Integrates perfectly with the Simhaptic effects and my Buttkicker Pro.

Ok, so my verdict on both (simhaptic and dcrealistic) is basically the same as it was for simshaker:

Some effects are great, feel „right“ and are quite immersive. But they are few on either side maybe three to five each for both apps.

Others feel anything between artificial, unrelated or annoying. I‘m sure with leaps and heaps of optimisation and custom effects from the community (eventually) it will be a great addition to DCS (well if the performance impact can be sorted out). So far it is ok-good.

I will probably buy a license for both (definitely for dcrealistic) since the handful effects I like, I like a lot. I‘m kind of on the edge for simhaptic. The effect it does good, simshaker does also good (probably a function of the simulated effect, not of the program). On the plus side, the interface is certainly nicer.

Some wishlist items:

- connect the volume of dcrealistic with the master volume of DCS

- let us test effects, without DCS running

Another heads up on this!

I can TRUELY recommend thid itty bitty piece of software and ESPECIALLY that ECXELLENT and OUTSTANDING service provided whenever a problem should occur.
So far the issues I had were all self-generated and not at all affiliated with SimHaptic.
Those 30 bucks are invested very, very well!

The Developer rKApps has been busy this month they just released another updated to SimHaptic and DCRealistic today. Can't wait to try them out. I was really impressed when they fixed the performance issues in the previous updates. My ButtKicker and 4 transducers have never worked better.

Regarding forum registration, with gmail I never got the confirmation but with protonmail I got it within seconds. I think ED don't like gmail accounts for some reason.

I'm using both programs, only issue so far is engine rumble and/or vibrations continue even with the engine shut down. Other than that I regard the software (Haptic and Realistic) as superb. The other major pro is that with Andre's software I had to have my amp volume nearly maxed; with the Simhaptic stuff it's dialled way back. 🙂

100% agree… with Simhaptic and DCRealistic, my BK Pro is next level. Two Thumbs Up!

@rkApps.shop Thanks for creating and supporting versions of your app on DCS World.

I see you are now on Discord rKApps and the latest versions should now auto notify when an update is available.

Looking forward to the next update to test!
