Gerrard Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 (edited) Hi, I bought F-15E back when it was first announced but due to time restrctions I have never actually played the module. I'm aware of the developer issues, but despite showing in 'my licenses', when I start DCS I get the following warning - see attached. Taking a screen grab for this I notice the F4 (which again, I am yet to play) is also showing as not authorised? I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere. Edited July 7, 2024 by Gerrard

"All" Anti-Virus solutions gives false positives on important encrypted files and remove them. You can either mark those files as safe in your AV solution , or just exclude the whole Eagle Dynamics folder structure. The game will even load faster. If you don't feel safe, submit those files to your AV vendor, and wait for them to fix it. I know ED and HB have already submitted the files, while the more people to do it, the faster a "fix" will come.I don't know which AV solution you have, but you're better off with the free Defender that comes with Windows in any case. For good measure, I've excluded the folders for all my games, (Steam Library etc.), and my Saved Games.Cheers! Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 1

Capn kamikaze Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Got the same problem, disabled my AV duing install, still not working, guess the F-15E is now dead for me.

Capn kamikaze Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I've uninstalled it, removed the files, and reinstalled from scratch, without the AV being on during this, so any files should have been reinstalled, yet it's still not working, DCS says it can't authorise it, it did the same thing with several other modules, the F-4, the Kola map and the Sinai map. This is looking like an ED problem TBH.

Don't turn it off. Then, do a full repair. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk

MAXsenna Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Going to try that after the maps have re-installed.I edited my post above. And for clarity. There's NO reason to to do the un/re-installation dance ever. A full repair will give you a plain vanilla installation. That's how it works. But you have to exclude the Eagle Dynamics folder structure first. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk 2

Make an exception on your AV(s) for the whole DCS root folder -> Repair DCS -> Log in. 38 minutes ago, MAXsenna said: And for clarity. There's NO reason to to do the un/re-installation dance ever. There is no difference on files after a re installation in comparison to a repair while repairing is 100x+ faster. Keep the massive DCS files for ever. Only Repair and Update it as you please. File deletion troubleshooting is only valid for game saves files on your 'user' folder outside DCS root folder, and those files are automatically generated on DCS launch. 1
