Hello Heatblur,

We're aware that your team is working hard on the Phantom, however Cobra stated in March or April that the lions share of the work has now been shifted to the Eurofighter.

The Heatblur/TrueGrit relaunch of the Eurofighter module trailer was released almost three years ago, on July 22nd, 2021.

The last update about the Eurofighter was some shots of the 3d model of the cockpit in Feb of 2022.

We understand that things happend in 2022 which disrupted events, but since we're nearly two and a half years since the last update, I don't think its unreasonable to have a normal dev update like we used to get for the F-14.  We are aware that you adopted a new model of effective silence until nearly release time, but while that is good for dev workflow and comfort, it gives the impression of a lack of progress and an opacity which isn't exactly fun to endure as a customer who wants to give you more money for the Eurofighter module.

So please take this as a sincere request from a long time customer who has been entirely pleased with your products...

Can we please have a genuine, proper update on the status of the development of the Eurofighter?

Thanks

As much as I'd like to see a typhoon update myself I'd imagine these things take a lot of time, especially with something as complex as the Eurofighter. I agree with many of the things you've said however the lack of reports may also hint that they are taking their time with it and going completely in depth with the systems and models ( personally, I prefer it being done this way over rushing it and it release in a bad state but I do understand how stale DCS can become with a lack of new content being released ). Although it has been a while since the last update, I'm sure with little more patience Heatblur/TrueGrit will release development updates when they know it's ready and blow us away in the classic Heatblur fashion. Really looking forward to this module and I'm sure it will be worth the wait. In Heatblur we trust!

I appreciate the sentiment of "They must be really going in depth", but I really would like confirmation on that.

Its not that I doubt the quality of HB's work, its just a lot of people like you and I are really looking forward to it and having something for the wait so far would be nice 🙂

I want to know too, because the sooner the Eurofighter gets done, the sooner the A-6 gets going. But heatblur is in Europe, so my guess is no news until the summer breaks are over.

I know it's a difficult and very complex aircraft to make, but even 1 screenshot from cockpit or something would satisfy me to know that project didn't stall because of no data available to make it, or some other problems.

I dont have a screenshot or something for you, but the project did not stall or anything. Otherwise we would have told you. You will all get your Eurofighter once it is ready. Cheers

For now, DOSBox is how I relive it. Still a great sim (and with the TACTCOM update too), especially the dynamic campaign that was so ahead of its time.

我知道这是一架很难制造且非常复杂的飞机,但即使是一张驾驶舱截图或其他东西也能让我满意,因为我知道该项目不会因为没有可用数据或其他问题而停滞。

I think data information should not be too serious a problem, and the EFA developed by HB has been applied to the NOR platform. This means that it should have enough information, HB needs to do is to show this information on the DCS platform, but you can see, in 2024, ED is not active in the DCS business, I suspect HB is now very worried :EFA will undoubtedly be a leap across the era, but will there be SE like the situation?

I started to touch the BMS F16CM B50 in 2011 when I was 8 years old, from 4.32 to the current version 4.37.4.2. From hybrid versions equipped with FCC and M3/4 tapes to versions using MMC7000A and M5.1+ tapes around 2010, nothing has changed in my impression of the F16's AA BVR capabilities: yes, in my opinion, it struggles to gain any advantage in non-overwhelming BVR battles. In AA BVR operations, it is more suitable for AWACS operations. But AWACS is a sitting target in non-overwhelming combat. Because enemy radars can spot this dazzling, flighty target farther away and quickly smash it into a burning heap with R37M-class missiles. So to be honest, I'm also very much looking forward to getting EFA, only the AA ability of T1B2 is OK, not even the T1B5 is required. Because it is an aircraft that can really gain an advantage in non-overwhelming BVR combat against RCS 3-5m2 AA radar up to 185km, the clean configuration carries 4 BVRAAM 0.5m2 rcs in the belly. This literally changes everything, it has the ability to compete with the Su35 (technically speaking, the T1B2 is also the most realistic, many T1B2 are already considering retirement because they are difficult to upgrade, and the T1B2 has no IRST)

We are absolutely overwhelmed by Eurofighter exterior in the 2025 and beyond video. No cockpit. No single word.

It is time to get some news from Heatblur.

Well you could read on the HB discord that the cockpit got a complete overhaul.

We haven't seen any overhauled cockpit yet. We have seen a pretty nice 3D model though.
