BoneDust Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 I am in AB. I see the panels and pan in using RALT C but nothing works in the panel(s) when I left click them. 1 Alienware New Aurora R15 | Windows® 11 Home Premium | 64bit, 13thGen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9 13900KF(24-Core, 68MB| NVIDIA(R) GeForce RTX(TM) 4090, 24GB GDDR6X | 1 X 2TB SSD, 1X 1TB SSD | 64GB, 2x32GB, DDR5, 4800MHz | 1350W PSU, Alienware Cryo-tech (TM) Edition CPU Liquid Cooling power supply | Pimax Crystal VR
Wingmate Posted July 11, 2024 Posted July 11, 2024 LALT C is what works despite what the changelog says. 1
BoneDust Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 I've done all that. I am looking at the panel for steering but nothing works. Now, it seems that you have to select AB as a role, which is useless to us because we need to be able to jump between that role and our jets. BoneDust Posted July 11, 2024 Author Posted July 11, 2024 Why can you jump into the AB position from a jet, but not control anything? Renders it useless to smaller wings who do not have the manpower. Very disappointed. Afghan map looks great, and the opening screen is nice. It seems like you can't unless you choose the dedicated slot. 1
joker62 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 I'm here too. For years, like perhaps many others, I have been waiting for the possibility of modifying the steer, speed and light's carrier. Then in 2020 the announcement of SC with a future AB deck... and now in 2024, I still find myself unable to easily change the steer, speed and light's carrier. Please, can someone explain clearly how to use the AB (Primary Flight) deck? It seems like you need to assign a slot. I essentially fly offline due to internet connection problems. Wasn't it easier to allow everyone to modify light's carrier using ME, advanced (waypoint actions) as is done with TACAN (activate or deactivate)? Couldn't it have been implemented in the F10 map, unit data window, and allowing the carrier steer and speed to be modified more accurately? Sorry, I don't want to raise controversies and useless debates, and I'm grateful for the great work done by the ED, but the question remains the same: flying offline, how do I change the steer, speed and light's carrier, going from f-14B cockpit to the AB deck? Thanks in advance. 1
NIGHTHAWK1 Posted July 12, 2024 Posted July 12, 2024 (edited) First, you need to have the Super Carrier set up in the Mission Editor with PriFly and LSO turned on. When start mission select Airboss slot. When in Prifly/Airboss room use mouse to look at desired screen - ship control or lighting - the click Left Alt + C, cross will appear and then you can select speed, direction, lights etc. Be sure to click on "Order" to tell ship to change direction. Hope this is all correct, just getting started with it but had to figure most of it out because there is not much instructions yet. BTW does not work in VR yet or at least I have not figured how to get it to work. I can get into Airboss room but cannot control anything.
