The addition of the afterburner detent settings in Special Options is not functioning properly.

- Mil power slider, can not click on the button and slide it to the desired setting, only way to move it is to click on the bar itself and move it at .1 increments

- AB detent appears to function correctly, however pulling back to mil power or less does not disengage the afterburner... it remains engaged.

- Afterburner and mil power sliders are not aligned as in the Phantom.

1- noticed this as well, the only way to move the slider is click on the bar and use keyboard arrows.

2- no issues here with AB detent at 90% and deadzone at 1%.

3- not sure what you mean.

Once I engage the afterburner, it wont disengage, no matter if I put the throttle to idle, or any other settiing.

Maybe this has something to do with the way the settings are.  I dont have any issues with the Phantom.

The situation is worse than expected, did some tests and noticed that special settings have no effect on AB detent, also, after loading a quick start mission, if deadzone >9.9% when pushing to full AB fuel goes empty, after restarting the mission tanks are empty from the beginning and I have to restart DCS!

Edit: even with 0 fuel the engines keep running and pushing!

It is very odd...

Hi @BJ55, I suggestion to take over to another thread so that HB can look into it?

Hello,

I don't know if OP has fixed his issue with afterburner, but i encounter the same issue : afterburner won't engage beside the throttle being pushed after the threshold.
I also encounter the issue with fuel (linked ?), playing the Operation Earnest Will Redux campaign. This fuel issue seems to appear randomly, and when it happen, i'm unable to refuel ("nan" being wrote in the refuel/rearm panel) and trying to hook to a supercarrier catapult is crashing DCS.

Dunno what can i provides to help understanding those issues.

Do you use "enable afterburner gate" special option?

For other problems remove mods, perform DCS repair and upload your dcs.log.

No i don't use this option.

I removed the A4 mod, but no joice.
I only have C130 and Military Aircraft Mod, will try without to test.
I already did a full DCS repair : nothing to report.

Will see after that to send my dcs.log.

Next step would to to fully reinstall DCS, and clean my User settings (Olympus and retribution were put inside, but no confidence it would solve the issue).

That will be a waste of time. Just perform a full repair, and rename the DCS folder under your saved games, and your DCS is back to vanilla.

Cheers!
