I get it too on my RTX 4080, I9 13900k, 32g DDR5.  I don't get it on any of the other maps I've tested.  I've pretty much ran out of options to try.  I've removed shaders numerous times, performed a repair and even removed and re-installed the map.  Some areas like Kandahar city or some of the mountains around the "high res" area cause more of it.  I've noticed if I start from the mission editor it happens more especially if I start changing aircraft for some reason.

I can confirm those issues too. Stutters every 1 or 2 minute in flight. FPS jumps from 100 to cca 40-60 and the back to 100. RTX 4080,i7 9700k,32 GB RAM. DCS on SSD.

I'm getting insanely good FPS on Afghanistan, seems very consistent, I've only got an RX 6600M so it must be something specific to the 4080 or NVIDIA as a whole?  Would be interesting to know if it's specific to certain configs.  Also on on Ryzen 9 6900, I wonder if the issues are intel specific as there are the as of yet unresolved issues with gen 13 and 14.

On my end, I seem to have really low FPS once I get close to the ground at airfields. (Tested at Kandahar.) FPS randomly dips into the 20s-30s. Not always, though. Once I get above 500/1000ft, the problem goes away. RTX 3080Ti and i7-14700K. 96GB RAM.

Maybe i found a solution. The error is not in DCS but in something else. Try lowering the refresh rate in the mouse settings. On my Logitech G305 wireless mouse I was using 1000 Hz refresh rate and after lowering it to 500 Hz the lags completely disappeared. It's definitely worth a try.

Well, I don't know about the mouse settings but after getting thoroughly frustrated with the stutter and finally about to give up, I decided to check my Resource Monitor and noticed my processors were parking cores.  I don't know if Windows 11 made some changes to my system in an update but after I re-followed the video posted in the Core parking thread, my game went back to silky smooth!  I'm not going to celebrate yet, but so far even on Afghanistan which was really bad for me, the last 3 short flights have had NO stutter.

Don't trust windows not to mess with your settings!  I hope others might have the same issue and can fix it.

Which thread? I read one where they went full circle, from unparking cores and back to parking cores because the former no longer helped.
