Files to be backed up before instal updated

Before upgrading to DCS 2.9.6, I would like to know which files to backup for security

Avant de faire la mise à jour vers DCS 2.9.6, j'aimerai savoir quels sont les fichiers à sauvegarder en cas de problèmes.

If you have used a mod manager, to install any mods, use that to uninstall all mods and then update the game then re-install the mods.  Otherwise user files are installed separately (in saved games) to main game files, so you should not have to back up anything.

I'd add that it's always good to have a backup of your \Saved games\DCS\ profile.
