Arcc Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 Bonjour Hi Sorry i use an online translator. New DCS user (6/7 months) Before upgrading to DCS 2.9.6, I would like to know which files to backup for security Thanks Avant de faire la mise à jour vers DCS 2.9.6, j'aimerai savoir quels sont les fichiers à sauvegarder en cas de problèmes. Merci à tous Christian
speed-of-heat Posted July 13, 2024 Posted July 13, 2024 If you have used a mod manager, to install any mods, use that to uninstall all mods and then update the game then re-install the mods. Otherwise user files are installed separately (in saved games) to main game files, so you should not have to back up anything. 1 SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat

draconus Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 @ArccThe solution is speed-of-heat post, not yours. I'd add that it's always good to have a backup of your \Saved games\DCS\ profile. 2 Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
