Airstart, Hotstart - Bombs might not 'connect' to the AC Avionics (Fuse selection on stores page) with old loadouts.

Experimenting  with the new fuzes I used some of my older 'quick and dirty' test and training missions. Most of them are 'air starts'.

I realized that you do not get the fuse setting option on the stores page (pb4 and pb5) unless you save a NEW loadout! It is not sufficient to just open and save the fuzes at the mission payload line.

So if you are a mission designer and want to get to run some of your older missions - save (copy) the loadouts and reload them.

Thanks for the tip.

This makes sense taking in count some issues i had with payloads and missions.

So IS enough clearing the payload and setting a new one on the editor.?

You need to load a stored payload, it seems not be sufficient just to edit the mission payload. So hit 'copy', give it a proper name and reselect it from the list.

Thats a weird one for sure. Not enough selecting a new one, creating a new stored is needed.

I will try. Thanks mate

Well you just need to save (using copy) the existing mission payload and select that stored payload. No need to make a new one as I assumed first.

Maybe ED can fix it that the mission payload is properly stored and reloaded when exiting the mission editor. I have no clue how that is done internally. But if they would check that there is a chance that all the existing missions would work without any reediting...

The issue is known. There is no automatic conversions of bombs and loadouts from old missions made before the fusing update. So it's still using the old scheme.

To fix it just deload all bombs from the loadout in mission editor and load new ones, then set your fuses as desired (or in the rearm menu if you spawn in cold start)

Someone else pointed out you can do this in the planning screen when you open the mission rather than going into the mission editor which may be simpler (but won't make the change permanent since you can't save it).

Yeah, noticed that the old loadouts (in the Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\UnitPayloads) dont have the Fuzes:

                [7] = {
                    ["CLSID"] = "{BRU33_2X_MK-83}",
                    ["num"] = 3,
                },

Re-made a loadout and the new has "settings":

                [5] = {
                    ["CLSID"] = "{BRU33_2X_MK-83}",
                    ["num"] = 3,
                    ["settings"] = {
                        ["NFP_VIS_DrawArgNo_57"] = 0,
                        ["NFP_fuze_type_nose"] = "M904E4",
                        ["NFP_fuze_type_tail"] = "M905",
                        ["arm_delay_ctrl_M904E4"] = 2,
                        ["arm_delay_ctrl_M905"] = 4,
                        ["function_delay_ctrl_M904E4"] = 0,
                        ["function_delay_ctrl_M905"] = 0,
                    },

Tthats a single pylon with 2x Mk-83 bombs..
