After the latest update hotfix on 07-22-24, DCS does not get projected into my HMD (Pimax Crystal).  Worked before latest update (Quadviews didn't of course), HMD works in MSFS2020.  In DCS, the smaller game window comes up as if it was in VR, but the game doesn't get sent to the HMD.

Ran a full repair.  Reinstalled all the OpenXR and Quadviews apps.  Again, works in MSFS 2020, but not in DCS.  Drivers up-to-date.

There's an error in the log:

2024-07-23 11:56:36.363 ERROR   VISUALIZER (8416): OpenXR failure XrResult failure [XR_ERROR_RUNTIME_FAILURE]
    Origin: xrCreateSession(instance, &createInfo, &session)

2024-07-23 11:56:36.364 ERROR   VISUALIZER (8416): OpenXR std exception: XrResult failure [XR_ERROR_RUNTIME_FAILURE]
    Origin: xrCreateSession(instance, &createInfo, &session)

2024-07-23 11:56:36.364 WARNING VISUALIZER (8416): HMD device disabled by application

Some help would be greatly appreciated!  Support suggested posting here, so here I am.

Thanks all

Hi,

you have many unofficial mods in saved games dcs, might be worth removing them and running slow repair of DCS.

are you using a vr specific shortcut for DCS or using the tick option on DCS for vr?

thank you

Removed mods. Ran full repair. Launched using bin-mt DCS.exe into launcher with VR mode enabled.  No effect.

Any other recommendations?

Log file attached.

Thank you

Ok I think I've found the problem.  Untick "Enable Quadviews rendering..." in the Pimax XR Control Centre and it should work (did for me anyway!).  So much for the bug fix!

I use the pimax crystal myself and quadviews are working, there must be something else going on.

Deselecting "Enable Quad Views rendering..." in PimaxXR worked for me as well!  There must be some kind of conflict.  Thanks Munxter.  Thanks for the quick response BIGNEWY.

If you are running OpenXR ToolKit as, try "disabling" it with the Disable Check box prior to launching DCS.
