burst tire

When you burst a tire, nothing happens to the tire itself. However, the effects of a burst tire do occur, such as sparks flying, skidding, and rolling on the rim.

Some have a burst tyre animated.

From what I remember, the whole wheel sinks into the ground to the rim. The tyre stays the same.

Maybe things have moved on, since the last time this question was asked..

Like I said, some aircraft have burst tyre animated. The tyre is visibly blown. And some of these aircraft had it for a long, long time.
