Rudel_chw Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) Hello, Starting on DCS 2.9.6, if I load an older Static Template (from 2-3 years ago), it loses all unit and groups names, like this: There is no loss of objects and the mission can still work, but messes things up for those who use naming conventions. If I then start DCS 2.9.5 and load the same template, then it loads perfectly, like this: The problem wasn't limited to a single Template, I tried several and the result was the same: I can fix this by re-creating the templates using the Mission Editor of version 2.9.6 ... but before I spend several hours or days on this work, I'd like to report the bug, who knows? maybe it is easy to fix and next DCS update corrects this. This seems to occur only with older Static Templates, I created a new one on DCS 2.9.5 and found that the ME of 2.9.6 load the template with no issue. patpatpowercat Posted July 31, 2024 Posted July 31, 2024 This seems not to be just older static templates. It seems importing static templates renames the units off the GROUP name, rather than carrying in the UNIT name.
