Hi, Yes, only after asking....lets hope the next BIG FIX sorts most of the issues out...I am very wary of trying this fix on my own...chances of destroying my DCS are to good...lolol Asus ROG MAXIMUS X Formula Intel i7- 8700K 4.8ghz Asus GTX 2080ti OC edition 64 Gb RAM at 3200mhz Kraken X 72 cooler Samsung CHG90 monitor at 144 htz DCS on M.2 drive 500 Gb
Moezilla Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Tested @tmz's scenic-bench in 2.9.8.1107 and it shows performance has returned to around 2.9.5 levels. I'm capped at 95fps on the carrier in the Hornet, or looking at the F-15 in the screenshot. I waited for, and watched, the scud strike on Khasab, and performance held up well for me. Hopefully it's the same for others. 2.9.8.1107 2 1
Archangel44 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Me too, I’ll download the update tonight when I get home and post a reply here. DragonSoulkin Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 So far the only issues I'm encountering now is some frame-time spikes in the Phantom for myself but it's manageable. Everything else seems to be working smoothly again though in SP and MP. Haven't had any issues with any other airframes or rotorcraft.
Archangel44 Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Here's what I'm running. Windows 10 AMD 9590 FX 4.7Ghz with all cores running. 32G of Ram 2100 DDR3 Solid State Samsung 2TB NVME Hard Drive EGVA 1080 SC video Card Gigabyte 990 FX Mobo. In grame graphics set to high. What I have noticed is about a 30-40% improvement with about 10-20 targets of A2A and A2G in single player. Still get the stutter but not as bad as before the update and when running, I get 70FPS with all things capped at 70FPS on Video card properties as well as in-game with fewer dips in FPS down to 10-20 FPS. I know my system is a bit outdated as it was pretty much top of the line 8-12 years ago. I'm very much considering to get a new Mobo, CPU, Ram and Graphics card soon. 1 F-4E, F-5E-3, F-14, F-15E, F-16C, FA18-C, F-86, A-10C, Spitfire, AJS-37, KA50, MiG-19, L-39, P-51, Flaming Cliffs, All maps, WWII Assets, Combined Arms, Super Carrier.
tmz Posted October 1, 2024 Author Posted October 1, 2024 I confirm that performance is a lot better for me as well, have only done two short flights but without encountering drops like in 2.9.6/2.9.7.
