jusromaine Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 So when I turn the Master Battery Switch on, No lights for the apu turn the switch too start and hold it for 5 seconds and nothing appends. No APU Start.
cw4ogden Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 3-5 seconds in the middle (run) position, seems closer to 5. hold in start position for 2 seconds.
Solution LizardKingYB Posted August 11, 2024 Solution Posted August 11, 2024 Tutorial by Matt says 5 second run and 2 for start
Mkoolen89 Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I did it both with 5 seconds since it's a simulator and it has to catch on. The Light for the APU only goes on when the APU has started.
jusromaine Posted August 11, 2024 Author Posted August 11, 2024 yes I have done both, also if you look at the first image that I posted that was as soon as the master battery was turned on. and even in his video the light right next too the battery switch does not light like his did.

TheFlyGuy Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I can start the APU in the tutorial mission, and the APU RDY light is lit. But I can't progress the mission from that point. Nothing happens when I press the space key after the APU has been started. I tried it several times, but I always get stuck in the mission at this point.

TheFlyGuy Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 Thank you for the hint Mkoolen89, but I was just referring to the tutorial mission, not starting up the Chinook in general. In the mission, the APU button stays marked after the APU has been started, and it says "Press space to continue" but then nothing happens. I think, most people, who play this mission, don't know at this point that switching on the APU generator would be the next step. 1

This happens for me when I start the APU by a keybind (have all of these on switches in my simpit) instead of clicking. The tutorial for some reason waits for the mouseclick instead of checking for the APU to run.
