DmitriKozlowsky Posted September 7, 2024 Posted September 7, 2024 Mods come and go. Both A/C , vehucle, and statics. If a mission is loaded with missing mods, then mission does not load. When a mssing mod is encountered, DCS shouls notify the user and temporaily place a holder box, like a box, in its place. Spending hours creating and refining mission, should not be invalidated months later, becouse some mod became unusable legacy or got removed. Thank you.

Ok, but a mission not loading is not the same as a corrupt mission. You could say that replacing Mod objects with boxes is indeed corrupting the original mission. I prefer the current behavior, the mission not loading. You then have the choice of loading the Mod if you have it, or remove the missing Mod from the "Required Modules" section of the MIZ file (there is at least one utility that can do that if you cant edit it manually). I would prefer that ME warn me that some mods don't exist, go ahead and open the miz file and then only allow a 'save as' so I don't write over anything I may want to keep. Not loading a mission file because I deleted a single problematic mod is a pain in the a$$. 1 PC specs: Intel Core i7-13700K [Raptor Lake 3.4GHz Sixteen-Core LGA 1700] (stock clock)/64.0 GB RAM/RTX 3080 GPU (stock clock)/Windows 10 Home/Multiple M.2 SSD Drives/T.Flight HOTAS X/HP Reverb G2
