DCS WONT LAUNCH ( Unable to start application (0xc0000142) )

Everyone I know that plays DCS is running into this issue and it really seemed to take off over night for some reason . Anytime you launch it just fails or pops up with the DCs.exe -Application Error , The pplication was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142) .

After an upgrade to Windows 10 the next morning I got the same error... I can't launch DCS.

And if you follow the directions in BigNewy's post you'll be able to launch it again.  This is a Windows issue, not a DCS issue.

When I try to launch dcs it just freezes my entire PC. I've already re installed the game 3 times and repaired it several times. I was having 0 problems with my system a day before this.

Specs 3070ti

RYZEN 5 7800x

32gb DDR4 Coursair vengeance ram

1TB nvme ssd ( dcs is on this drive )

Tuff x570 motherboard

Since your problem appears to have nothing to do with the problem mentioned, you should start your own thread and you're more likely to get relevant help.

1st thing to check is if your antivirus has quarantined some DCS files.

Then post a log if it's creating one.  Right now your video doesn't really show anything so it's completely a guessing game.  Very difficult to tell anything from the video other than you're attempting to run DCS.  Please expand on exactly what's happening.
