Even with brightness turned up max the MFD's are dim.  Unless I zoom in, normal view in pilot cockpit very hard to read.  I tried the gray MFD mod, same thing.

Any way to edit a file to boost up the brightness values?

You should try to export them. Then they are dim... 😉

Have any screenshot? Helmet visor up?

My MFDs are fine during day and night - even have to dim them a bit. Gamma 2.2 as default. No external OXRTK, QV or reshade BS.

Also check to see if NVG are installed.  I was having an issue where the AA/AG/NAV/INST lights were barely visible and turned out that the time of day (though light out) was just on the edge and NVG's were added automatically rendering everything in the cockpit for NVG compatibility. In my case, I saw no difference in the MFD brightness with or without NVG, only the Mode lights and the UFC, but YMMV.

Sun visor helps a lot. But there are some angles(like the sun pointed directly at it) there's not much you can do about, but seems somewhat realistic imo in that case
