Reccelow Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Even with brightness turned up max the MFD's are dim. Unless I zoom in, normal view in pilot cockpit very hard to read. I tried the gray MFD mod, same thing. Any way to edit a file to boost up the brightness values?

Then they are dim...

Reccelow Posted October 14, 2024 Author Posted October 14, 2024 Yes I did, its not bad when I zoom in. In normal pilot view (day) , not so good.
draconus Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 (edited) Have any screenshot? Helmet visor up? My MFDs are fine during day and night - even have to dim them a bit. Gamma 2.2 as default. No external OXRTK, QV or reshade BS. Edited October 14, 2024 by draconus Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Recluse Posted October 14, 2024 Posted October 14, 2024 Also check to see if NVG are installed. I was having an issue where the AA/AG/NAV/INST lights were barely visible and turned out that the time of day (though light out) was just on the edge and NVG's were added automatically rendering everything in the cockpit for NVG compatibility. In my case, I saw no difference in the MFD brightness with or without NVG, only the Mode lights and the UFC, but YMMV. 1
Panny Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Sun visor helps a lot. But there are some angles(like the sun pointed directly at it) there's not much you can do about, but seems somewhat realistic imo in that case 1 Website | Digital Coalition Air Force | Discord CPU: AMD R9950X \ Mobo: MSI MPG X670E Gaming Carbon WiFi \ RAM: Corsair Vengeance 96GB 6000MT/s \ GPU: RTX 5090 \ Various SSDs
