emperixx Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 What key do u press to swing the wings back and forth on the F14?
Kuky Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 there is no such key/command since F-14 is not flyable... not without any modding at least :) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
emperixx Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 The F14 is flyable if you change the appropriate settings in the xml file...
Boberro Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 U can't collapse winds. You can see it in multiplayer when u fly this but: u see collapsing wings but not on your own plane. It does by computer. There is no any key. Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
emperixx Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Is it possible at all in any version of Lockon? are there mods that enable the wings to be swept at all in the F-14?
Majesco Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Yes, you can do it with VNAO Carrier Fleet Mod Find that mod at Lockonfiles
emperixx Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Excellent! will this work in multiplayer mode as well? can other players see the wings move back and forth at will? What key is it to swing the wings with teh VNAO mod?
GGTharos Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 No, it isn't. It's actually a Su-33 that looks like an F-14. ;) The F14 is flyable if you change the appropriate settings in the xml file... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Kuky Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 swept wings work when you extend the flaps, not the same thing, and I said you can't do it without modding... I tried the VNAO mod tonight and I think it's bit buggy, I had black textures in cockpit (normally I never have this) and still the F-14 flies like an Su-33... radar is same etc... PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
rattler Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 VNAO F-14D is not buggy. It does have some things not finished like damage model. The wings will work when at different speeds and with flaps down, spoilers out etc. Might be on an Su-33 but works very well. Kurk if you have any problems they must be with your computer. I flew and worked on the cockpit re-texture for some time and found no such issues as black spots. For what it is, it works very nicely. Anyone wanting to fly an F-14D although the FM is Su-33 will have a good time with this mod. IMHO.
RedTiger Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Why would you want to swing the wings manually anyway? They're capable of moving automatically in the real thing. Does the model not sweep the wings when you're flying via the xml edit?
emperixx Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 The standard F14 model via xml edit does not appear to swing wings automatically, and there is no way to manually sweep them. With the VNAO model, the wings can be swept, but not all the way. The only way to fully sweep them is to deploy the flaps.
