Aries Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 VPForce Rhino is an amazing product but my advice is if you plan on using an extension and heavy metal grip go with an aluminium thread head. The plastic one can break due to accidental axis throws... as happened to me... 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...

The plastic one can break due to accidental axis throws... as happened to me... Question about the limiter adapter, have a 20cm extension with the Rhino base, many times the fans start and the FFB resistance goes away after a prolonged dogfight with WWII planes in DCS, by adding a limiter adapter, will that reduce motor stress somehow and allows for longer dogfights before the fans kick in and the force goes away? How do you tune the axis to compensate for the adapter? do you need to do this or just a recalibration of the joystick is enough?
Aries Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 I just did the autocalibration after installing the limiter... Don't really know does the limiter give more stamina to the motors... but, less angle with an extension should mean less force to counter, right? Art-J Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Not quite. If moment caused by weight of arm, grip and extension combined was the only factor then yes, at least at full deflection. During flight maneuvers, however, motors have to deal primarily with moment you create by pulling with certain perpendicular force applied at certain distance from pivot. Limiter changes neither of these. 1 i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
