WinOrLose Posted November 1, 2024 Posted November 1, 2024 I've noticed that the crew chief correctly confirms the left roll during the ARI check but calls "flaps up slats in" when checking the right. I have tried waiting a significant amount of time from raising the flaps/slats but he still makes the same call.
WinOrLose Posted November 9, 2024 Author Posted November 9, 2024 Anyone else noticed this or is it just me?
Volator Posted November 9, 2024 Posted November 9, 2024 Well, I had this one or two times too, but not conclusively. Certainly the "flaps up, slats in" call is severly delayed quite often, and this leads to irritations while doing the checks. 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

Yeh I thought it might be linked to a delay in that call so waited a good minute and it still happened. It might just be the wrong voice track linked to the action?
Cat107 Posted November 26, 2024 Posted November 26, 2024 (edited) @WinOrLose Hi, some time ago we pushed a fix resolving some issues with the ARI check (the one that is a part of flight controls check), is the issue you described still occuring for you? If so, could please provide a track? Edited November 26, 2024 by Cat107

I find that you get no report after the flaps are raised before the ARI check, you roll left and get "no movement, when rolling right you get the "flats/slats up". I also notice that jester gets in a speed call out loop in high speed low level bombing, it gets so bad it starts affecting FPS and the only way to fix is to disable Jester. This will be on the same track bit towards the end.

Saw it repeatably and wondered if I do something wrong (which I so far expect)
Volator Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 I found that if I „cancel“ after the flight control checks, then raise flaps, the Chief reports flaps up instantly. The following ARI disconnect check then works as it should. I think you only move controls through both rolls extremes and are supposed to get one „No movement“ for that, correct? 1./JG71 "Richthofen" - Seven Eleven

We werent able to find the cause without yet.

The track is just over an hour long, the crew chief checks I would imagine to be around the 10 minute mark. The massive FPS drop occurred about 10 minutes before the end. I managed to "fix" it by turning Jester off/on/off and jumping between the front and seats a few times.
Zabuzard Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Sounds like you used the Jester Wheel UI during the track, which means that if you replay it it wont work. So I suspect the track will not be useful, unfortunately

It happens 100% of the time. I carry out the various ground checks while jester is completing alignment.

WinOrLose Posted December 10, 2024 Author Posted December 10, 2024 Had a quick flight last night to check the ARI call out. After raising flaps/slats it took 45 seconds for the chief to confirm they were up. I then tried the ARI check and the chief only reported on the right roll.
Stickler Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Please find attached a working track (if no time acceleration is selected) that showcases the crew chief not reporting "flaps up" immediately after the FC check. Reference time 08:04:24 when the flaps switch is moved to the "up" position and 08:05:18 when the crew chief elects to report the flaps up. Incidentally, the track also contains Jester asking for the requested type of alignment twice at 08:00:28 and 08:00:34 even though this bug was reported as fixed. noflapsup.trk 1 1
Cat107 Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) Hi, sorry for such a delay but we are all really busy recently. The automatic checks (slats, flaps, speed brakes, aar doors and hook movement reports) logic was adjusted and it should hopefully fix these issues. It will probably be included in the next update, thanks for all the valuable input Edited February 21 by Cat107 1
