Will it be possible to fly the Outpost Campaign with a human CPG instead of an AI gunner?

There are no technical obstacles to this. If you can control Apache from the CPG location, yes, it is possible.
There is one caveat - for each target the mission gives you about 10-14 minutes depending on the difficulty.
If you spend too much time, you will get less points at the finish.

Hello, thx for the campaign.

My question is regarding this point in the campaign details:

*The possibility of cooperative playing the game in the role of PLT and CPG

I would like to play with my colleague this campaign. Me as a PLTand my colleague as CPG. Is that possible ?

Thx.

On mission 2 you are requested to do a formation take off but the lead apache  takes off as soon as it enters the runway. Maybe have it move down the runway a little to make room for the player and hold for 30 seconds or so? Also I believe the brief says take off 05:10Z  but I recall it’s actually local time? Also landing on the ship, maybe a hold for a minute before takeoff again?

Not really a problem but on mission 3 maybe have the Jtac  cords already entered?

Radio presets working as intended btw

Thanks for the idea! But I spent 3 days trying to set this up. Unfortunately, the leader cannot be moved down the runway during takeoff. This is a DCS script and cannot be changed.
Thanks for pointing out the typo in Zulu and locale, I will fix it. Have a nice game!

I'd also like to understand this! Very excited if it is possible.

Good day! Yes, the instructions are in the documentation. Here, take it:
-Oh, one more thing!
The AH-64 Outpost campaign can be played in cooperative mode. Here are a few tips:
Create a multiplayer game and load one of the campaign missions from the root folder of the game: DCS World OpenBeta \ Mods \ Campaigns \ AH-64 Outpost The campaign must be purchased by both players.
Pressing the spacebar to check the radio and interact must be done by the player who created the server.
Enjoy the game!

Tried it on a dedicated server, but the server crashed. Does one have to set it up as an own server?

System:

Win11 Pro, X870Pro RS Wifi 7 AM5, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Corsair MP400 SSD (1TB for WIN), Corsair MP700 PRO (2TB for DCS), VR PIMAX Crystal.

To be honest I don't know anything about it.
We didn't choose a server during testing.
We created a standard server that DCS offers in the Multiplayer menu - NEW SERVER button

I want to say thank you for the cineastic entertaining campaign. This campaign forced my learning skill with learnig the AH64 communication buttons and other things like fuel management and so on :O)

Its very realistic, thats good, I mean you wrote it happened real.

There are no big bugs or errors, thats good also.

I hope to see more in the future.

Thank you!

Thanks sir! I am glad to hear that you appreciated my project! The next part is OUTPOST for A-10CII.
And I also try to make a very high quality game!

Just a quick feedback. I am about halfway through the campaign and it's great. I can highly recommend it, as well as other Stone Sky campaigns (I have nearly all of them). I've now also started a Outpost campaign for the Mi-24P and it looks promising again :-). Thanks a lot.

I am able to complete this mission with 100% both landings successful. For the carrier landing it doesn't show the ship as USS Sampson, and there is a flagpole at the rear center of the ship which makes landing tricky. I have watched 2 other videos of this mission, both show a completely different ship. Have I got some stetting wrong, or do I need a skin pack for this campaign? Thanks.

Good day. This is an Arleigh Burke-class ship, with "Sampson" written on its stern. It is located directly at WP-2 of your route.

I tested it, and unfortunately, you are right—the deck safety nets do not lower. This is due to a DCS update.
Previously, I would activate an AI helicopter far from the ship, which would request landing clearance, causing the ship to lower the safety nets. When you landed, that AI helicopter would then be deactivated. This helped players by eliminating the need to use the radio menu.

Now, the deck safety nets only lower if the helicopter that requested landing is within approximately 1 nautical mile of the ship.

I will need to fix many missions, including this one.
If you want to land now without waiting for my fixes, you need request landing clearance from USS Sampson via the radio menu. The ship will then lower the nets, allowing you to land without obstacles. This is only possible if you have the Supercarrier. If you don’t have the Supercarrier, the Arleigh Burke will deny your landing request (sorry, that’s DCS - I didn’t make the rules).

Thank you for your feedback. You’ve reported an important issue that needs to be addressed. DCS is constantly evolving, and ED is working to improve it. In this case, the changes affected the ship AI, and now I’ll have to find a new solution.

Can you go through the AI units and remove the radio reports from the waypoints options? I have AI reports disabled in the audio settings but still getting spammed by reports. It's cutting through the voice acting.

Preset the radio freqs so we don't have to cycle through after take off. Or utilize the cpg AI to input them. I'm flying with the kneeboard up and the comm page most of the time ready to go.

Minus that so far so good

Hello. Thanks for your feedback.
Regarding AI reports - I know about the problem, but I can't solve it. AI has a different frequency, it shouldn't transmit reports. If you have a track saved, could you send it here. Or specify the mission where this problem occurs, please. I'll send it to ED.
This problem occurs in different places, and I can't always reproduce it.

Frequency presets. I didn't immediately understand what you were talking about. You want me to tell you which preset to switch to so you don't have to look at your knee pad. Got it.
Actually, that was my goal. Something like multitasking. I probably overdid it, but I'm not sure.
All my campaigns are set up in this concept

I can't attach the trackfiles because they exceed the 50mb limit. But M3 with the jtac overwatch the bridge. The voice lines get cut off and the messages "subtitles" get pushed when the AI reports. I had to pause multiple times to read the message history to see if I missed something important.

For Radio presets. For example Departure and Tower on VHF we can just cycle them from the start by just going to the VHF on the EUFD.  I think it's mission 1 where right after take off they request you push to tower, which is not ideal if you're in the transition from the ground to getting airborne. I don't want to touch radios when I'm 20ft from the ground transitioning controls to forward flight. That's when the front seater can come in handy(It is a multicrew aircraft after all) and you verify with spacebar that the freq is correct.

Yes, I got it!
Actually, I did this in the MAD campaign for Huey and Gazelle.
But I didn't get any feedback on it, and I thought that this unnecessary simplification was not needed by the player. This is about switching with the help of AI.
Thanks for your observation, sir! I remembered this and will add this to my concept for helicopter campaigns.
And I received two more feedback about the constant AI reports. I'm already working on it. Unfortunately, I won’t make it in the upcoming update, but I’ll include the fixes in the next one!
