No Comms Menu for SC ATC?

Hello all,

I setup a mission, taking off from the Stennis, but when I use comms (using advanced comms - easy comms off), I select ATC,  then Stennis, but there is nothing in the next menu, only option to return to previous menu.  I just updated to latest this morning, worked fine prior to the update. 

Anybody else having this issue and/or knows how to resolve it?

Comms-1 and Comms-2 are bound to TM Warthog throttle comms switch.  No issues other than SC - but may be my mistake; I think I need to contact ground first before taxing to the cat.  Going to try again shortly.

EDIT: No, I guess that's not the issue.  There is no option to request taxi unless I'm training carrier takeoffs.  Odd.

EDIT EDIT: I just did the training again, and seems there is no need to request taxi when on flight deck.  Thought that was a thing, guess not.

No, you don't request "taxi" on a carrier. You request "launch". I was under the impression that you can't get comms to work while in the air, and I thought you might have been using the "Communication menu" keybind, which won't work in the air.

No apologies needed! I had a hard time understanding the comms when I started in DCS. Especially due to the horrendous Easy Comms being on by default, (and non-adequate training missions in my first modules).

Yea, the scary part is I've been flying DCS since the 2008 release lol!  I'm still working on my competency with this baby.  Even got the TM Warthog HOTAS, and Saitek Pro rudder pedals many moons ago; but yea, been a long time since last flight though. 

Anyhow, I was sooo hoping they had evolved the ATC and comms by now, was a bit disappointed to find that nothing has changed in this regard but, hey, this ain't F4 BMS after all.  But I'm loving the multi thread - sooo smoooth with high FPS, and this is a very pretty sim as well, so there is that!

Still waiting for shore ATC rework but at least SC comms are a good start.
