Backsoon Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 The same <profanity> happens to me -just sitting in the pit. All dressed up an nowhere to go. Looking forward to some suggestions. Regards BOS
Thelastpharaoh Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Came here to post this. Glad I'm not the only one. Hoping I can play it over Christmas break
Alkaline Posted November 25, 2024 Posted November 25, 2024 Its a known issue, and it wont get fixed until the next update roll-out. So fucking stupid that they dont release a hotfix for this, cuz the fkn campaigns are BROKEN. I dont understand how they can get away with this <profanity>. I mean, just get the Syria map developer to fix it, let ED know when its done and then just release a got damn hotfix!!! Whyu do they gotta wait for the next patch, makes no freaking sense! Had to rant a bit, cuz this makes me furious! If a big part of the game is broken, then they release a hotfix, they dont wait for the next big patch to fkn fix it, its the most stupidest <profanity> I've ever read here. 1 X-55 Rhino guide to configure the Mouse Nipple to work as TDC slew! Soundman766 Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 Same here.. First thought it was a radio/comms issue on my part. Tried numerous times and no AI taxied. The tower and flight confirms 'ready to taxi but nothing happens. Just bought this campaign and not a happy camper!
baltic_dragon Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 @Soundman766 @Alkaline @Backsoon @wct24 Guys I understand you completely, but please for a moment put ourselves in our boots (as 3rd party campaign devs): we spend months if not years building campaigns, testing them, updating them in the process to the changing DCS ecosystem (which is a good thing that it evolves!). Then we ship them out, working as intended (with Gamblers there was just one minor hiccup at the start). But then the map update breaks ALL of the missions. Trust me, you couldn't find the more annoyed person than myself when I learned about it.. but then together with some people helping me (big shoutout to Jakes and Gumidek) we just started going over each mission in order to fix what has been broken without our knowledge and involvement. This is the way things work and I think no matter how much controls, tests etc we have, these things will keep happening, with so many 3rd party devs. Yes, I agree Ugra should have communicated with us better - and as far as I know this part of the things (in general) is being addressed. I have to say ED has been very responsive to us and is putting in place different safeguards and systems that will minimize the waiting time for campaign fixes. In the meantime I guess everyone has to just be patient.. all the Gamblers missions should work as advertised as soon as the patch is there. The worst approach for us, as small devs is when people get upset with ED / Ugra / whoever and stop buying our 10$ campaigns as a sign of protest. Trust me, it hits people like myself most. 1 For more information, please visit my website. Alkaline Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Yea, i never understood when people decides to stop purchasing modules and maps as a protest towards Eagle Dynamics. It barely hurts ED, while it can bankrupt a 3rd party developer. The patch thats planned for today will fix everything hopefully, and probably! baltic_dragon Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 It fixed everything except from M01, which was our mistake in fixing the mess Ugra made but we already found what is wrong! wct24 Posted December 20, 2024 Author Posted December 20, 2024 At baltic dragon, You guys did ahell of a job, i posted this topic to see if there were others with the same issue. I wait for the fix. Thanks for the reply and the god job on the campaigns
baltic_dragon Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Hey, we found the issue was not with the mission, @wct24 at least three people that experienced it had some unofficial mods installed that caused the problems. Some things to do: The No.1 Rule with DCS Campaigns... If you have ANY mod that is NOT purchased from the DCS Store, it will probably cause issues. SRS and OpenKneeboard(Mostly VR users) seem to be ok, as we test these mission using both. Make sure to remove any and all mods before flying campaigns. (Check out OVGME, I use it daily and it works well) If you have no mods, or if removing all mods still does not fix the issue, take the following steps(Test after each step): 1) Delete fxo and metashaders folders in you saved games. Can get gummed up with old files. 2) Rename you DCS Saved Games folder, run DCS and let it create a new one. Close DCS and then just copy the Config folder from the old to the new so you don't lose your bindings at least. (Some mods can write to places like your scripts folder in your saved games location as an example. Also seems to help sometimes even if you never run mods at all) 3) Do a full deep repair of DCS to clear up any unwanted stuff in your main game folder. Some settings to check: 1) If you have easy comms enabled, disable it. 2) Under Gameplay otions, make sure the tick box on the bottom right for "No force from mission, use min" is NOT ticked. 3) Try disabling TacView under special options. It can cause issues, usually performance, but that can lead to bugs if your cores are overloaded/too busy and it misses a trigger point due to that. A side note, some mods can write to places like your scripts folder in your saved games location (as an example). If removing all mods still does not fix the issue, take the following steps: 1)Delete fxo and metashaders folders in you saved games. Can get ummed up with old files. 2) Rename you DCS Saved Games folder, run DCS and let it create a new one.
